Over the prior blog postings, I have tried to share with you the latest topics, tools and techniques involved in conducting an executive career search campaign. For those of you who are interested in experiencing something that will provide a comprehensive overview designed to make the career search as manageable as possible, I am pleased to tell you that this Thursday, May, 19, 2011, in the auditorium at my office building, I will be one of the sponsors and presenters of an informative, special one-day seminar for the tri-state area executives in transition featuring presentations by career experts, motivational speakers, recruiters, career coaches, financial planners and wellness specialists who discuss new techniques, technologies and strategies for approaching today’s complex job market.
Job searching today is difficult enough. However, there are a variety of resources, technologies and considerations in job searching that just didn’t exist a couple of years ago. We are aiming to bring all of this information together for a day and give our attendees a condensed view of how to leverage these resources and shape their job search strategies to be as efficient and effective as possible.
“Career Planning on a Napkin” will include:
Michael Goldberg – Keynote Speaker, Author of Knock-Out Networking!; Networking Expert; Founder & President of Building Blocks Consulting, LLC – “How to land more prospects, more referrals, and more interviews!”
Jennifer Scott – Owner of HireEffect LLC — “Beyond the Profile – The Job Search / Corporate Marketing Connection”
Jay Rovert – Barnum Financial Group, an office of MetLife – “Strategies for Job Changers – Financial Planning on a Napkin”
Stephanie Dalfonzo, Owner, StephanieDalfonzo.com and Danbury Hypnosis – “Overcoming Interview Fears and Job Search Stress – Keys to Lasting Changes”
Linda Van Valkenburgh, MS, CCMC, CJSS – Owner of My Executive Career Coach, LLC – “Value Propositions for Today’s Focused Job Market”
Abby Kohut – AbsolutelyAbby.com – “Success for the Seasoned Search – The Benefit of Being Overqualified”
In my mission to help secure new executive career positions for my clients in today’s challenging job market, I provide one-on-one strategic career coaching and job search strategies based on my clients’ professional ambitions — designing customized, highly-focused, and disciplined search campaigns that deliver results. Career Planning on A Napkin will give you a sneak peek into the components of a comprehensive career campaign and the benefits that working with a career coach can provide. By the way, we call it ‘Career Planning on a Napkin’ because in spite of the complex nature of searching for a job, we are presenting the information in such a way as to simplify it so that you can literally map out your campaign on a napkin!
